This is a personal blog written by a young dad, Kit, who is naturally fond of his first born son. In it he shares his and his wife’s experiences on raising their son and even offers some handy tips on traveling with kids.  Suplado also chronicles their family’s out of town trips, tourist spots visited, resorts they have stayed in and restaurants they have eaten in.  There are some very good photos posted as the blogger is also a photography enthusiast and hopes to turn his hobby into something more in the future.

Since the blogger is a Registered Nurse by profession, there are also some entries on health issues like erectile dysfunction and acne treatments.

However, the blog has quite an irritating habit of using only US based websites links for consumer goods and household items like water purifiers, crib bedding, packing cartons , etc. which we all know can also be sourced locally.  Maybe he should also put up local products even if only for price comparison purposes. As we all know, too much of these and it can read like an blog-advertorial gone awry.

It looks like the gold that the Philippines will be getting will be coming from the local mines and not at the Beijing Olympics.  For those who are not sure, we’ve never had an Olympic gold medal hung around the necks of our athletes. Gold has eluded us since 1924, the first time we attended the Olympic games in Paris.  We have won the silver in boxing, but that was back in 1996 (Atlanta, USA).  But how could we possibly win with a 15 man team?  Where are our athletes?  AND What’s up with our stomachs - diarrhea before the event?  Sigh.

The Philippine Inquirer has a very scathing, but funny account of the flops at the games.

If you’ve ever lost that funny or endearing sms you had meant to pass on but accidentally deleted, fret no more.  Just go to  Text Fanatic and check out its archives.  It’s name says what it is, an sms-fanatic whose blog entries include sentimental & sappy love notes to inspirational & religious quotes as well as our favourite, the funny jokes.  Here’s an example sent in by contributors, probably via sms.

Titser: alin ang mas
madalas gamitin, period
o comma?

Juan: kama, ma’am.
ang period buwanan
lang, ang kama kahit
may period pwedeng
gamitin. .di ba? heheh..

If you want your own text message to be posted up by the blogger “jhoko” click here.  Incidentally, “jhoko” is also the owner of the noypie blog we reviewed earlier.  While this blog is essentially in the same vein, copies versus original (although some content may be original, we’re not sure), we give a thumbs up for this one because sms content is different from articles as sms are intended to be circulated freely & as widely as possible without attribution.
